Welcome to BBR (named after my dog Booker), this is an independent website set up by myself. I am an avid reader of books and have spent many hours getting lost in all genres and a manner of different worlds. I like to think over the years I have collected a substantial amount of information on what makes a book ‘work’, what can captivate and engage a reader to not only stick with it but to fall in love with the characters and the universe in which it is set.
My ultimate dream is to be able to read and make a living (no matter how humble) from it. However as I am only just starting, my intention is to offer a free service to those who are trying to get into the writing field. In reading your WIP I will be carefully documenting the following criteria...

My beta reading services are completely free at the moment. I will be looking to make a business of it in the future but as I am just getting started I would like to build up my port-folio with no cost to you. What I ask is –
- Please limit your submissions to up to the first 3 chapters of your work in progress. Less is fine and page/word count does not matter.
- I work independently, as it is only me – once I receive your submission I will email you to give you a potential finish date to receive my review document.
- Since this is a free service, I would like to prioritise new writers, students and the like. In your submission, please tell me a little bit about your writing experience.
